Honor Roll Standards

Honor Roll

The following are the standards used to determine students receiving Honor Roll or Principal’s Honor Roll recognition.

Letter grades given in the following areas are used to determine G.P.A.

• Reading
• Writing content
• Writing conventions
• Social Science
• Science
• Mathematics (grade carries double weight)
• Physical Education

All other letter grades (Listening and Speaking, Fine Arts, Work Habits/Study Skills, and Citizenship), are not considered, neither are math benchmark scores.

Letter grades given are valued as follows, without consideration to “+” or “–”: A = 4, A- = 4, A+ = 4, B =3, B+ = 3, B- = 3, etc.
